The Fabrication and Design Essentials (FADE) training program is a year-long skill building program that helps instill into new and returning members a strong technical foundation and better preparedness for any/all projects. This program consists of weekly 1 - 2 hour-long lab/lecture sections where officers skilled in the specific technical field discuss core principles and practical applications of the topic. Completing this program will allow members to apply concepts discussed in engineering classes as well as develop lasting relationships with peers and officer mentors. There are 3 main phases to the FADE program:

  1. Computer-Aided Design & Analysis

  2. Materials & Manufacturing

  3. Electronics

Each phase will culminate in a project/competition that will allow participants to directly apply all of the skills learned in that respective phase.

For questions regarding this program, please contact our current FADE Leads, Jason Chen and Ethan Champion, at fade.asmebruins@gmail.com. Alternatively, contact one of this year's FADE Mentors via the links below!
